The Library is for EVERYONE
The Library is for EVERYONE

As a longtime teacher, new school librarian (this is year three), I continue to lead initiatives to bring new life to our school library. Revitalizing a space that has been holding a status quo for a long time has its challenges but also its rewards. Vital to this re-imagining of our library space is the idea that the library is a community space for everyone, with areas, programs, and access for ALL students. Let's highlight ways we've brought in the "fun" and transformed an old-school media center into a place for learning, reflection, acceptance, and social emotional growth as well as how we are looking forward to developing the collection with an eye toward equity.
