2026 Conference Call for Proposals

The Illinois Association of Teachers of English Conference will be held on October 16th and 17th, 2026 at Moraine Valley Community College in Palos Hills. Proposals should offer engaging sessions that will enable participants to return to their school communities with a range of ideas that will promote a more inclusive and equitable education for all students.

Conference Theme: Rethinking Education: Pedagogical Moves to Create a More Equitable Classroom

For IATE 2026, the Program Committee invites you to share your knowledge and insight into ways of creating a more equitable classroom. Presentation options include 60 minute traditional informational breakout, 90 minute interactive workshop, and 15 minute poster presentations. For more information, visit iateonline.org.

For multiple presenters: One presenter should submit this form (the primary presenter). Please list additional presenters indicated in the form below. All communication will be conducted with the primary presenter.

Multiple proposals: Presenters may submit multiple proposals. Please complete separate forms for each proposal you are submitting.
